Roulette

Roulette is a straight statistical game. For the most part one gets pretty fair odds.

How to play:
The wheel is divided into 38 sections in the USA or 37 sections in Europe. Each section can hold the ball. The sections are numbered from 1 to 36 and alternate between red and black. Except for the green sections. In the US there are two green sections the "0" and the "00". In Europe there is only the one green section on the roulette wheel the "0".

Numbers 1 - 18 are considered the lows and 19-36 are considered the highs.

Players either bet a number, a group of numbers, or color. After all the bets are placed the dealer tosses the ball along the wheels rim. The ball will come to rest in the winning number. The dealer then pays or collects the money from each bettor.

You can place a bet on every spin. You must bet the minimum of the table and can bet up to the maximum.

Roulette Odds:
The following are the roulette odds on the standard roulette table:

  1. Winning bet on red, black, low 1 to 18, high 19 - 36, even, or odd pays even money.
  2. Winning bet on the down (1 to 12, 13 to 24, or 25 to 36), or on the column in which the winning number falls pays 2 to 1.
  3. Winning bet on the number itself pays 35 to 1.
  4. Bet on either of two numbers the bank pays 17 to 1. This is where you put the chip between two numbers.
  5. Bet on three numbers, one of which wins pays 11 to 1. This is where you place a chip to the right of 3 numbers. Also called a street bet.
  6. Bet on four numbers, one of which wins pays 8 to 1. This is where you place a chip in the centre of 4 numbers, touching all four squares.
  7. Bet on five numbers (0,00,1,2,3) one of which wins pays 6 to 1. Also called the Quint this is where you place the chip between the "00" and the "3" on the layout.
  8. Bet on six numbers, one of which wins, the bank pays 5 to 1. Also known as the double street this is where you place a chip to the right between 2 rows of numbers.
  9. When a zero or double zero comes up the house pays bets on the zero (or double zero), or on the zero (or double zero) and any other adjacent number s in combination with it. But collects on all other bets.
