MGM Grand Hotel & Casino

Overlooking the famous Las Vegas Strip, the MGM Grand features 5,034 elegant guest rooms and magnificent suites, all offering the very finest in amenities and personal service. That means you can stay here for more than 13 years and never sleep in the same room twice! Within its four 30-story emerald-green towers, the MGM Grand offers nine different kinds of rooms and suites to please any guest, from the Deluxe Rooms and Players and Spa Suites to the luxurious Grand Class 29th floor suites.

As a tribute to Leo, whose roar has started MGM films for decades, there is a lion habitat where you can watch the king of beasts and his pride adjacent to the casino floor.

MGM Grand Lion Habitat
Anybody familiar with MGM movies knows Leo, the majestic lion whose series of roars have greeted film lovers for generations. What many may not know, however, is that MGM Grand is dedicated to funding research aimed at the future preservation of the kingly cat. Visitors can learn more about lions and the MGM Grand's efforts when they visit the collection of lions at the Lion Habitat, a naturalistic environment designed by noted feline expert and lion owner Keith Evans.

Studio 54
You know you're a legend when you're recognized with one word. Such was the case with the original Studio 54, otherwise known as "54." The spirit of the legendary New York nightspot lives on in this colossal 22,000-sq.-ft re-creation worthy of its predecessor.

Studio 54 is decked out, to say the least. The club features four bars, an over-sized dance floor, juggernaut sound system, dazzling lighting, fog machines, confetti canons, dancers swooping overhead on ceiling swings, and photos from the original 54 on the walls.

There's a VIP area on the second level and semi-private lounges capable of accommodating up to 400 people. It all unfolds beneath the original Studio 54 moon that hangs over the dance floor. Put everything together and you've got the ultimate atmosphere of controlled hedonism.

Thursday nights at Studio 54 are now known as "Dollhouse." VIP guests can dress live male and female "dolls" in sexy outfits of their choice or have the "dolls" dress each other.

Gambling at MGM Grand
MGM Grand's 171,000 square feet of casino facilities make for a gaming space comparable in size to three football fields, including end zones.

Filling the floor space are a poker room, a keno lounge, and approximately 3,700 electronic slot machines and video poker terminals where wagers range from five cents to $500 a credit. MGM's 165 gaming tables include baccarat, pai gow poker, mini-baccarat, Caribbean Stud, craps, roulette, blackjack, Let It Ride, Casino War, Big Six, and Spanish 21.
