Excalibur Hotel, Casino, Las Vegas

Built to resemble an old English castle, the Excalibur's entrance features turrets, spires, and a 265' bell tower that stands guard over the moat.

It's easy to become part of the fantasy, after you have been served a feast by your wench and watched a little jousting. The “Tournament of Kings” in King Arthur's Arena is the place to do just that. The family-friendly show also features a fire-breathing dragon. That beast and the fact that the feast is eaten with your hands are sure to be hits with kids.

On the mezzanine level above the casino you can enjoy a roving Renaissance Fair as jugglers, musicians, magicians, and assorted minstrels make their way through the medieval shopping village.

Tournament of Kings
Located in Excalibur's King Arthur's Arena, the “Tournament of Kings” medieval feast features a costumed cast of 100 performers parading before dining spectators, engaging in jousting competitions, and locking swords in well-choreographed combat. Add to that a dash of dragons and a pinch of fire wizards, and you've got the makings for a memorable meal.

A rip-roaring spectacular for the whole family, the “Tournament of Kings” doesn't allow its audiences to passively observe. It insists diners cheer loudly for their brave warriors and revel in the fun of the fork-less period. That's right. All food—no matter how messy—is to be eaten with your bare hands. Just try not to enjoy yourself as you break every rule of etiquette.

Gambling at Excalibur
Amidst stone pillars, gothic turrets, and colorful Arthurian decor, Excalibur offers up a lively casino with gaming options designed to make players feel like royalty. Spin the reels on your choice of the Strip's newest slots and lucky favorites, ranging from five cents to $100 a credit.

Or go beyond such standard table games, as blackjack, craps, and roulette and you'll find a courteous casino staff willing to guide you through Big Six and mini-baccarat. For those who love poker, Excalibur offers everything from Bad Beat Jackpot, Texas Hold 'Em, and classic seven-card stud to such popular table-based derivatives as pai gow poker and Caribbean Stud.

Biggest Jackpot Ever: On March 21, 2003, a 25-year-old Southern California software engineer hit the biggest slot machine jackpot in history at the Excalibur. The Megabucks jackpot paid $39,713,982.25.

Canterbury Wedding Chapels at Excalibur
Chapels beyond Guinevere's dreams and worthy of Camelot fantasies can be found at Excalibur. Excalibur names its wedding packages to honor knights and legends. Though you can't requisition white horses or commission a joust to commemorate the occasion, you can add a knight costume, flowing robes, and other medieval attire.
